Find your footing as life becomes more independent
University, college, a first job, or a new diagnosis can bring freedom, possibility, and a lot to figure out at once. As the structure of school falls away, life increasingly runs on your own decisions.
Coaching gives you space to work out what you need, what you want to take responsibility for, and which approaches fit the way you work. You can bring the unfinished plan, the assignment you keep avoiding, or the feeling that everyone else seems to have figured things out. We start there. Plenty of people find this stage hard. Finding it hard doesn't mean you're behind, and it certainly doesn't decide where you'll end up. Together, we'll work out your way of doing this.
What would make this stage more manageable?
- How you want your week to feel and what needs to fit into it
- What helps you begin an assignment or a work task
- Ways to make deadlines and commitments easier to track
- Study approaches that fit your attention and energy
- Balancing academic, work, social, and everyday responsibilities
- What you notice when a plan stops working
- Communicating your needs and accessing available support
- What growing independence means to you
